Opening times - why we have them

Severn View Cattery is run by family and customers who chose to become staff. We all love cats to bits and always spend plenty of time with our residents. Living on site we check our charges throughout the day. It is a 365 days a year enterprise.

We know from experience that cats like routine and sleep a lot during the day. They can also become unsettled when other cats arrive or depart. Our opening times therefore need to be a compromise between meeting the needs of the cats and convenience for the owners. Our opening times are:

Monday-Friday 10.00-11.00am and 7.30-8.30pm
Saturday and Sunday 10.00am-12.00noon

We know you like the evening slot as this means you can get to us after work or at the end of your return journey. The morning slot ties in with our cleaning and feeding routines after which the cats generally sleep.

Please remember that we are not open on Saturday and Sunday evenings. It also helps us if you can arrive in plenty of time to settle your cat before closing time, rather than with 2 minutes to spare. Remember too that cats have a habit of disappearing just when you need to catch them. It’s a good idea to keep them in the night before and not to give them too much food prior to the journey to us.

Always contact us if you have a problem getting to us within our opening times. We are happy to help if we can, and this includes collecting or delivering your cat to you.
